Five grants.
Nobody knows which one is theirs.
There are 5 open chargepoint grants and they all close 31 March 2027. Whether someone gets £500 or £2,000 — or nothing — turns on whether they rent, own a flat, have a driveway, are a landlord, or are a school. Your website can sort that out for them.
On the website you already have · from £149/month · no lock-in
AnswerHQ is a EV charger installer's own website tool. A homeowner enters their postcode, it checks the live 2026 rules against that property, and returns an indicative answer in about thirty seconds — then AnswerHQ books the survey. Every enquiry belongs to the installer alone and is never shared with another company.
AnswerHQ is running
on this page right now.
The bubble in the corner has read this website and answers from it. Ask it something we cover, then ask it a price we have never published and watch it decline rather than invent one.
Try asking it:
- “Do you build tools for EV charger installers?”
- “What does AnswerHQ cost?”
- “Do you install chargepoints yourselves?”
On your site it answers from your pages instead, and books the survey.
They are already searching.
Your site just cannot answer.
These are the questions that bring a EV charger customer to a website. Every one of them is someone who has decided they want it and is checking whether they can have it.
“ev charger grant uk 2026” “ev charger grant no driveway” “can renters get the ev chargepoint grant” “workplace charging scheme how much”
Land them on a page that answers the thing they typed, and you are not competing on price. You are the reason they are having the conversation.
EV chargepoint grants
Checked against gov.uk on 30 August 2026 and kept current, so your website is never quoting last year's scheme.
The on-street grant changed who is eligible
Until it existed, no driveway meant no chargepoint and no grant. A cross-pavement solution now qualifies for £500 — and most of those households have no idea, because the last time they looked the answer was no.
£2,000 a socket for schools
The largest per-socket figure of the five, up to forty sockets, and almost nobody is chasing it. A single college is worth a great many domestic installs.
Landlords go up to 200 sockets
Private landlords, social housing providers and management companies, at £500 a socket. That is a portfolio conversation rather than a doorstep one.
Every one of them ends 31 March 2027
A genuine deadline rather than a manufactured one, which makes it the rare thing you can put in an advert without embarrassment.
The five, and who gets which.
Rates restated 1 April 2026. All five close 31 March 2027. Checked against gov.uk.
